Dead Drums - Human Hair EP

More music coming out of the Baltimore experimental-steez this time from Dead Drums. They/he/she/it sent this over describing it to be in honor of: Baltimore, friendship, tape hiss, fishstick, and growth. This release certainly exercises growth. Human Hair dips into everything from tribal nuances to the smoothest ambient rock a la bluesy guitar available (see Carousing USA - a title seemingly spawning from one of the greatest arcade-turned-N64 games ever).

Coors Light - Totally Lance Live

Straight out of the dungeons of emotional wear 'n' tear comes the realest one man production team release you've never heard. One heart, one love, one bass, five songs. If you haven't picked up the preceding Coors Light material presented here way back, then whatever -- you must've been "too cool" -- but, for this... Totally Lance Live is an improved approach in Coors Light's produce, adding cheeky drum machining and some nice cultural filler to make this EP as cohesive as fuckin Epoxying your soul to the amp. Hope you like Blink-182 and thinking about your ex.

Woodsman - Mystery Tape EP

Lefse Records was cool enough to send us some of the promotional materials of Colorado-based psych rock ambient chillers Woodsman's Mystery Tape EP. Droned out riffs backed with some simple rhythms and driving percussion. Simplicity is the key. Check out the reverberating delay riffs in a sampled track below, very Banshee Beat.

Rollerskate Skinny - Shoulder Voices (1994)

This album is nothing short of a masterpiece. With brethren ties to MBV and such, Shoulder Voices is comprised with an eclectic approach to the twee/shoe-gaze genre by offering up something much more original than modern re-creationists. The natural applications of some seriously psychedelic melodic creepiness and amounting textures that are put into most of the tracks create some sort of a spiritual awakening type-of-deal. I guess I over-looked this shit's worth far too long, thank you summer boredom for making la creme rise a la top.

Space Caves - Space Caves EP

Space Caves has just emerged out from the pits of a fuzzy jungle organic bacteria culture; one part insane guitar ripping/looping, one part laptop spinning/quick-timed beatmaking -- the middle of this EP will surely make you make you melt. Atmospheric melodies fill the room without losing the driving intensity of the thrashing pop pounding the floor

Eat Skull - Jerusalem Mall EP

kind of a pompous/asshole thing to do with the title and imagery of your first 2010 release, but none the less this is delicious ear-destroying noise, certainly living up to Wild & Inside's lo-fi dominance of 2009

Blank Dogs - Phases EP

much better quality and a prettier sound coming from this Captured Tracks release. longer songs that don't all sound completely the same, which is nice. the last track is really good

Cool World - Gaydream Nation

been waitin on this release for too long. well worth it though. mad relaxed noise pop coming out of a house right down the street.

nick and sean make pvd, ri's Cool World: "it's 1992, but no one's singing and the music's coming out of a tin can phone line to your friend's room across the way"

beautiful melodies, insane sonic drones, catchy gaydreams, rockin wetdreams, this album is most certainly syphoning the influence of its name's pun - Dream Shake (absolute kill) opens the album quickly while Cabana Boys and Sun Roof Top take you out way slow
