To be fair and honest I never checked out the first release by Mickey Mickey Rourke because I assumed it to be some self-hyped yawn-fest riding the trends of naming your band after a slightly altered celebrity name to which there would be no rewards or satisfaction through listening to the actual music. Aside from still not really knowing if what I thought was the truth, based off my exposure to this new collection of the fruitfully chilled-out, beautiful compositions that can be heard on M M R I can see that my pessimism of "trendy hipster culture" may have hindered my never-ending search of finding new music that I genuinely like.
